Melbourne is the manifestation of a shared dream to bring an authentic Australian café experience to Phuket. Built inside the walls that once housed one of the island's most infamous restaurants, Melbourne is a coffee shop for locals to enjoy as part of their everyday lives in Cherngtalay.
The café is an all-day venue for comfort and relaxation. From service to food to design, every part of it is built to feel welcoming, relaxed and cosy, while still carrying the urban energy of an inner-city Melbourne café.

An onsite coffee roasting facility with retail and wholesale distribution, run in-house by Makes Coffee.
There's no Melbourne café without excellent coffee. Danny Hyams, the man behind Makes Coffee — formerly Phuket Coffee Lab — has been roasting on the island since 2010. A boutique, artisan roastery focused on quality, freshness and culture, using only fresh, premium beans sourced locally and abroad.
All orders are shipped within four days of roasting to guarantee freshness. Beyond supplying the café, Makes Coffee handles retail and wholesale distribution of single origins and blends across the island.
Coffee subscriptions and hands-on brewing classes are in the works.

As a born-and-bred Melbournian, Alex brings his cooking to the fore with creativity, passion and attention to detail. This is reflected as much in the sourcing of great produce as it is in the taste of the food.

Started as a home bakery during the 2020 lockdowns, The Jazzy Bakery delivered a limited selection of sourdough and cookies across Phuket. After a period of hibernation, it's evolved into an element within Melbourne.
The renowned sourdough and cookies are back, alongside an ever-expanding range of new products. All breads, pastries and desserts are produced onsite, daily.
